Bosilka Simonovitch is a French filmmaker with roots in Serbia (Balkans). As a result, her work is characterized by a strong mix of influences, and focuses on finesse. In her opinion, it is possible to deal with any topic if the perspective is appropriate.
Bosilka wrote and directed several short fiction films broadcasted and awarded in international movies festivals. “Pig”, for instance, was awarded at the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs of the Cannes Film Festival.
She wrote and directed documentaries about cinema broadcasted by French TV station Canal+.
Passionate and eclectic, Bosilka enjoys working hand in hand with actors. For several years now, she has been leading master classes at French acting school Cours Florent, a true breeding ground of young talents that also inspire her work.
She directed several commercials, including a major advertising campaign with 8 films for the Chinese brand Huawei this year.
Bosilka is currently collaborating with Calm company on her first feature film.
