Annie Dautane, Director and Art Director
After taking part in the launch of the Canal+ and Ciné+ channels, she developed and directed Chipie & Clyde, the very first French series produced in 3D.
In 2012, she founded the production company Calm, through which she directs films, music videos, and visual scenographies for shows and concerts.
In 2013, she created several visual scenographies for Mylène Farmer’s Timeless Tour, which drew over 500,000 spectators in the largest concert venues in France and abroad. She renewed this collaboration in 2019 for the Mylène Farmer 2019 tour, creating visuals projected on the giant screens at Paris La Défense Arena.
Since 2020, she has also been focusing on directing documentaries dedicated to art, which have received numerous awards at international festivals.
In 2022, her film Rothko – Monet was part of the exhibition the Monet/Rothko at the Musée des Impressionnistes in Giverny.
In 2023, her film Banksy – Géricault was shown as part of the Capitales – 60 Years of Urban Art exhibition at the Paris Hôtel de Ville.
The same year, she directed the 52-minute documentary Hopper – Vermeer, broadcast on France 5 in 2024, which achieved the highest audience numbers in its time slot during its premiere and won numerous awards at festivals in France and internationally.
In parallel, she directed several music videos for the artist Mac Seamus, blending visual storytelling with poetic narrative.
